The entire Seinfeld series (180 episodes) on 9 DVDs....

THESE ARE NOT VCDs!! These are real, playable menu-driven DVDs with nearly 6 times the capacity of VCD. Beware of sellers advertising Seinfeld DVDs when they're really selling 61 to 63 Seinfeld VCDs that "could" be played in a DVD player and sometimes only on your computer in a small window.

The Seinfeld DVD set has these features:

* Playable on regular DVD players that support DVD-R media (most do). * 21 episodes per disc for Discs 1 thru 8 (Disc 9 has 12 episodes). * All episodes are commercial free. * Episodes are in sequential broadcast order * Quality is VHS 7 or higher for all episodes (on a 1-10 scale) * Each of the 9 DVDs has customized menus for episode selection and disc navigation just like a Hollywood DVD.

Please contact me if you need more technical details on the Seinfeld DVD set and to receive information on how to download a sample clip to check for quality and/or how to get a sample Seinfeld DVD to check for player compatibility.

Also available: the classic and controversial 1977-1981 sitcom series Soap on DVD (92 episodes plus outtakes on 5 discs).

These are garbage! They're always some low quality crap they pawn off as VHS 7 or some other number that they claim is almost great quality

You want good quality you've gotta either wait for the REAL dvds or capture them STRAIGHT from TV.....No seller should ever compare their dvds or vcds to a VHS tape! that is horrible business and a scam

I'll do all of you a favor and get a sample copy i bet this guy capped them from tv, editted out the commercials and made some weak ass dvd menu. "just like hollywood"? my ass if it WAS JUST LIKE HOLLYWOOD you wouldn't compare ur dvds to VHS!

Geez...such anger. You're missing the point:

1 - they're on DVD media for CONVENIENCE ie LESS DISCS SINCE DVDS HOLD 4.5G OF DATA VS 800MB ON A CD. The caps are indeed VCD/VHS quality (nice looking caps at that - I encourage you to contact me for a sample). What would you rather have - 9 DVDs or 63 CDS?

2 - the "Hollywood DVD" reference is for DISC NAVIGATION ie FULLY INTERACTIVE MENU SYSTEMS WITH GRAPHICS AND BACKGROUND MUSIC NOT FOUND ON VCDS.

You should read (or perhaps comprehend) before you slam.

terribly sorry, i figured you were the typical crap posting bot...similar to that seinfeldonvcd guy that used to post...haven't seen him post in a while.

so where might i get a sample of ur quality?

how much are they?

where did you get them from? what is your video source?

-13erla seinology.com check out the forum

how do you figure I was posting crap

yes it was the same message but it was not bot posting them

I was out of work (still am) and needed the money

I haven't posted in a while in here because some asshole got pissed off and shut me down out of here.

I won't post anymore in here as far as blatant ads go.

I still sell them but sell them more on ebay and yahoo.

I am working on my own dvd sets but might not be ready for a long while

man i'm getting in bad with both seinfeld sellers ;-) i appologize to both of you.

but i still voice the concept. i think as a rule if you want to sell something you need to worm your way into our hearts :-p not really but it would come off better if you did in my mind. personally unless the video was capped straight from tv...no vhs...it's not really worth buying

because what is your basis of return? or of problems with certain discs? or with certain parts of the discs?

are your users guarrenteed over the course of X amount of days?

i'm sure you guys aren't allowed to make massive posts about what ur selling but why not answer my questions on the group here?

well I replace any disc that proves defective.

I don't accept returns for refunds though, only replacement. some problems have happened where the player would not play them of which is the players fault. as it is turning out though, I am finding that the problems might be coming from burning the vcds at high speeds. it would seem that some players won't recognize them. I am working on a solution and going to replace them with working ones once I find out what speeds will work for it.

from now on though, I am only going to sell to people that have a confirmation that the demo disc does play becuase it is becoming a small problem that I don't want unhappy customers.

on a pure plug. I am having a sale until the end of the year to get money for tution for school starting on the 13th

contact me if you are interested. I will even send free demo disc for a limited time

Sure - some people might not want an entire set capped from VHS. Everything is subjective and each person has different tastes as to what is acceptable quality, exceptional quality, and "ok" quality. That is why there should be no surprises when someone gets one of my sets as there are two methods of checking out the quality before a deal is made - one via an internet download of a clip, and the other being an actual sample DVD to see the menus and check for disc compatibility on their own player(s) as well as seeing a full episode.

I don't give refunds for "buyers remorse" and so far none of my customers have had any. I don't give refunds for incompatible players simply because I offer a sample disc up front to avoid the situation where I've invested 10 hours in making a full set only to have it returned (sample discs take me only 15 minutes to make).

I do replace defective discs - which I've had to do on only one occasion so far. It was a bad burn and it would not play on my player either after the customer sent it back to me. After that incident, I now 100% check each DVD for playability after burning instead of just spot checking here and there. I'll replace a defective disc for up to a year.

I would love to recap my entire set from live TV and I actually have the hardware and means to do that. What I don't have is TIME. It took me over 6 months to do the set I currently have. The logistics in capturing direct-from-satellite feed of 180 episodes is rather daunting when you consider that none of the networks are running the show in broadcast order. That means you have to not only GET all of the shows but then kinda manually assemble them once you do have them. And then you have to edit out the commercials. Possible, yes, but I see that project taking upwards of another 8-12 months with the majority of that time spent trying to assemble the 9 season collection of shows as they're broadcasted haphazardly. Why do I not do it? Because I already have the complete set, in the format I like (DVD), and in good enough quality for my own discerning taste that I can sit and watch the episodes on 53" projection TV and be very satisfied in how they look. Now that I've satisfied my goal for doing this for myself, I'm offering it to other people. Hey - if anyone has all 180 eps capped from live TV in MPG format and you need them put on custom DVDs with menus, I'd be glad to do it for you!! :)

Again....it's all subjective. Check the samples to make sure they're what you want before you deal.

wow 8-12 months?????????

dam someone doesn't really know how to do it...or you use some slow way of accomplishing the task.

I'm verging on having everyep the same you have capped from fox...

i started in october and i'm only missing about 50-60eps..haven't checked recently as i only take 1 day every 3 weeks to edit and "assemble" the eps. even though it actually only takes me 2 hours to edit ruffly 25-30 eps.

i can be gone for days as long as my power doesn't go out and all my eps are capped straight to comp from live tv. Now quite sure how ur using this 8-12 months for editting/assembling but it won't take anywhere near that lenth.

Here are the tools i use to cap my eps for those that want to cap their eps like "the pros"

-El Gato's EyeTV (for mac but i'm sure there is something similiar for pc) -A computer obviously (i use mac as the eyetv i use is for mac) the computer needs a decent sized HD (only if you want to not worry about capps for a period of time) -A windows computer (i use the windows comp as i purchased the tmpgenc app for windows a while back and it's the easiest way to edit mpg files which are ready for dvd/vcd burning) -DVD burner (i use a pioneer a05 which is 4x so burns are in 15mins for full dvd)

that's it kids for straight pc users that need to know how to do it on pc let me know and i'll figure you a way and hardware..

anyone that needs more indepth how-to let me know and i'll help you out.

custom- i'm not dissing you, i'm just saying ur time usage is horrible. 8-12 months is overkill

just for a time reference I capped every ep of Saved by the Bell (the original series plus the colleg years) total of ruffly 120ep in 2 months that includes editting, assembling, and creating the DVDs.

I'm not taking it as dissing me - I just have a life is all. With a 50+ hour per week engineering job, a newborn son, and a wife I only spend an hour or so a day a few times a week (if that) on my "hobby". If I was single without any extra curricular activities I could knock this out in a few weeks as well. Priorities, priorities, my friend. :)

You needn't worry about my computer setup - I'm sure my home network would rival just about anything any power user has including a couple terrabytes of SCSI RAID storage.

who said anything about computer setup...i'm only tellin the average user how they can easily accomplish what the 2 of you offer incase they feel like doing it. most people think it's impossible.

priorities...like i said....this could be easily setup with the stuff i've listed to allow ANY person with 60hours, 4 kids, a wife, and hell let's throw in the dog you've had since before you were married and had kids :-)

all my listed features allow this....so go ahead and drop the priorities crap....

don't forget you're selling Illegal copies of a show. and you mentioned like i said....3 weeks of unattended capping (depending on ur harddrive space, 2 or so hours after those 3 weeks to edit. then back to the kids and the family and the job.

so you've got urself a terrabyte? since when does having a load of memory have any bearing on how GRAND ur system is? but with this terrabyte you COULD easily leave ur system alone for i don't know maybe till you've capped all 180 eps....yes you could...actually i'm sure with ur TB you could cap seinfeld, and friends as well and all you'd have to do is change ur capping hardware's settings after each drive was filled....

-13erla seinology.com check out the forum
13erlacustomdvdalt.tv.seinfeld

no offense but it would seem like ur trying to make me and everyone else think that it's REALLY time consuming to do this. the only time it takes is that fox only airs seinfeld twice m-f and maybe twice on sats.... that is the ONLY time i can think of that slows the process.

I'm only giving the other people who read this group the alternative to spending their money if they can wait a 2-3 months to do it themselves.

yes some of the hardware needed costs money...but you can use that hardware for other things...i.e archiving ur own video tapes of the fam.

just my 2 cents :-)

-13erla seinology.com check out the forum
13erlaJefferyalt.tv.seinfeld

no problem jeff.

again if you or anyone else needs a simple how to i'd be more than happy to put some time into figuring out a windows based setup.

obviously they don't want you to know it's THAT easy when it really is...

not to mention as i said you can use the hardware for things other than seinfeld...

i mean if ur going to cap seinfeld and maybe your a friends fan you can go ahead and cap those as well. the amount of time you have to spend each week or whatever is really dependant on ur HD size...and these days you can get a 100gb online for less than 100 bones...

and actually you can fit ruffly 250 uneditted 30min clips on a 100gb drive since when you cap u'll have to compensate for the time differences in whent he station airs so 400mb (ruffly) per 30mins..

so actually if you were to say go on vacation for um a month you can leave ur computer once it's setup to record all seinfeld eps and have no probs (baring a windows crash, which is why i used a mac :-))

sorry i keep giong on and on about this....i'm obsessed with giving people information on how easy things can be...i mean any average Joe can do this....that's what kind of makes you made seeing people tell you that it's tough only because they don't want you to know it's THAT easy..

i'm done :-)

I'll tell you what, I think I will do everyone here a HUGE favor. IF you were to send me a copy sample, some samples, whatever you have to offer. I would gladly have you offer this to my subscribers of my newsletter, which has well over 1500 readers. How does that sound? LOL. I think everyone here would trust me a lot more that you, hehe, they all know me here. And there better be some good deal too! :o)

I believe it would be against newsgroup rules to post prices of an item you are trying to sell....

i'm not sure as i've never read the usenet guidelines. but also with that new anti-piracy act they instituted the dvds offered here are illegal....

hate to be the one pointing this out..but unfortunatly it's true....

not only can sony/columbia sue the seller but also fox and tbs since all of them lose money from the dvd sales..... which really sucks since we are looking at another what like 5 years? till seinfeld is release legitimately?

i say more power to the seller! i mean why not.....illegal or not last i checked they are all pulling in some great cash still

I really do hope you are wrong on this point, even though I have nothing to substantiate that.

I was hoping that we would see them in 2003... On the other hand, I've been thinking "maybe next year" since ibought my DVD player in 1999.

Is there any official info as to why we would have to wait 5 years?

the major basis is the TBS paid 180million for syndication rights just last summer.

I've yet to locate anything else on it...but as general rule when a station pays a large amount you can bet they put the no dvd/vhs sales in the clause

the reason we see friends is that nbc didn't allow tbs/ the wb to put the dvd sales clause in because nbc was already in production.

since tbs is the first cable network to have seinfeld it is believed that more than 1 year will pass before dvd seinfeld will be released.

you can also be sure that if another network gains syndication rights that we will have another year or so to wait.

i'm betting on a 10 year anniversary dvd set. which will be capped off with a reunion special on nbc.

I heard and it makes since that once they drop off in the ratings then they will release them . which is a vicious circle becuase we all keep them up there becase they are not on dvd yet.
