I learned that this week's (1/30) episode will only be shown in its entirety this one time. Apparently, there is an extra minute in the episode that will not appear in future syndication reruns.
So, I guess this means that you need to get your VCRs ready.

Interesting...I'm one of those annoying people who makes sure that all clocks/watches in the house are set to within seconds of the "real" time (National Bureau of Standards time clock, etc). I *did* notice that Seinfeld started at 8:59 instead of 9:00 here. I assumed that our local station had screwed up since they normally are perfectly synched with the clock. (yeah, yeah...I've got to "get a life")
It will be interesting to see what gets cut in syndication. Probably Kramer's driving sequences since they weren't crucial to the possibility of him having an accident leading to a coma.

It's usually the opening sequence that gets cut; if you notice that the sixth and seventh-season syndicated episodes are missing the stand-up. Since this season the stand up is gone, the incidents in the opening sequences have been mostly inconsequential to the rest of the episodes, sort of like a separate skit. But since this one had something crucial to the plot, it's hard to tell what they'll cut.
