okay, here's one way I think the finale could have been better. Instead of the prosecution creating a splatter campaign, they talk to Jerry and tell him that if he rats out his three friends, claiming it was all their fault and telling how evil the three of them are, they'll let Jerry go free. Of course, they tell the same thing to George, Elaine, and Kramer. Who better to tell of how evil each of them are than themselves? So the next day, the four walk into the courtroom, each with different lawyers. Kramer attempts to get Jackie Chiles, but of course he runs as far as he can from Kramer. BUT Jackie whole heartedly accepts defending Jerry on the premise of putting Kramer away. After speaking with Frank Costanza, Elaine hires *the man in the cape* to be her attorney. George thinks he can beat the system and save some money so he chooses to *attempt* to defend himself. Kramer chooses Bob Sacamano for his defense. The strategy is for each of the four to take the stand and then tell why the other three are horrible people. Jackie Chiles does nothing but spout off cochrane-esque phrases, creating no real defense (if it doesn't fit, you must acquit). The man in the cape just says nothing at all, occasionally he leans back and whispers to frank costanza, but otherwise says nothing. George digs his own grave by defending himself. And Bob Sacamano never shows up but phones in worthless advice to kramer (for example, he calls kramer and starts telling him about one of his adventures and judge vandelay insists that kramer reveal what Sacamano told him and kramer says, well my friend bob Sacamano was telling me about the time he yada yada yada). . . It is at this point, that we finally see the jury. Unfortunately, it is composed of their peers, Poppie, The Soup Nazi, Marla (the virgin), Cidra (teri hatcher), the bubble boy, the three japanese businessmen (kramer's japanese friends), lt. bookman, the owner of fredo the parrot, and of course Babu Bhatt. (of course any of these people could be swapped for anyone else that might have been slighted by the foursome) The reason why I suggested this scenario would be for Jerry, Elaine, Kramer, and George to actually speak and show off what we love to see, how truly horrible they each are. In the end they're all convicted (as the prosecution planned) they all get put away for however long and when they stuffed in the cell together (I wouldn't dare change the ending in the cell, that, I must admit, was spectacular) they have the same conversation as if nothing happened.
