In a few episodes (the boyfriend springs to mind) elaine professes to how much she hates smoking.
BUT, in the epsiode where george tries to mix food and tv with his love making, elaine is smoking a cigar. Also, in the Calzone, elaine and jerry are smoking the cheap cigars that todd gack got for jerry......
So, what's elaine's real stance on smoking??!!
I hate smoking but don't mind the odd cigar. Jerry also has the odd cigar but you'd never see him (or me) with a cigarette.

You don't inhale cigar smoke. So it's not "smoking" in the same sense as cigarette smoking.

However, the curing of cigar tobacco is different than cigarette tobacco. Because of this process, the nicotine is absorbed more readily through the cheek, which gets to your bloodstream, then to you brain (oh ya baby!). (McCoy, 2003)
In short there is no need to inhale cigar smoke.
