Sick of the Delores nonsense

HER NAME WAS DELORES. Stop there. It's senseless to supposition this to death. If it wasn't quite clear to you by Jerry's reaction and tone of voice that he remembered her name after she left, then give up already.

DELORES RHYMES WITH CLITORIS. No matter how anyone else pronounces it, the writers obviously pronounce the them (di - lor' - is) and (cli - tor' - is).

There are so many other things to talk about; don't get bogged down with one word of one episode. I hope that not having new episodes will not cause this ng to regress to that level.

Please, please . . . move on.

I think part of the fame of that episode is that the next day, a REAL male office employee brought in a dictionary page with 'clitoris' underlined and showed it to a female employee, thinking that he was sensitively relating the plot line of the show. She successfully sued for sexual harassment.

I agree it does get annoying to have to read posts every couple of days asking the answer to this...but think back to when the episode first ran, when the next day around water coolers (it was a real "water cooler show!") everyone was asking what everyone else thought the name was. It was a fairly subtle line. So much so that I saw Jerry live doing standup around that time, and when he walked out, people were yelling, "Delores!" To this he replied with a smirk, "How long did it take YOU to get that one??"
