I must say that tonight's episode was a great example of Nothing. I especially liked the Pennypacker vs. Varnson as well as bringing back the AIDS ribbon Guys. Also, the way they referred to people by their cars ("Black Saab Rules!!") LOL LOL.
The apartment deal was pretty cool too.

Tonight's show was very good. I made the mistake of reading some of the reviews of Puerto Rican Day in those Seinfeld guides on the newsstand. I thought it was funny and quirky, and I loved it! Shame on me for giving any of those reviews any weight! Man, I wish the show was coming back next season!!

I can't believe how harsh some critics were on this episode. EW gave it a "D"!! Well, personally, I thought it was very good and a well-rounded episode. Elaine's fiasco with the cab driver, her leading a group of people to find a parade crossing point, the homage to the Poseidan Adventure, were all great. I loved the plot surrounding the expensive apartment, used for a bathroom and the TV. Not to mention, the burning flag, the lazer pen, and Jerry's problem with the guy he cut off. I was LOL at the end.

It was hysterical not only because it echoed episodes like "The Chinese Restaurant" but because it hearkened back to less politically correct days. Apparently some Hispanic groups criticized this episode (as least I saw a headline in the NY Post that read "Hispanic Groups say show is a bad Sein") though I didn't think it was very offensive.

I thought it seemed like a pale imitation of the early episodes. It felt forced and perfunctory. Jerry was wise to bail out now. He's running out of fresh ideas.
