I have just finished wathcing the first episode in a season of Seinfeld reruns. Tonight was Kenny Banya/Bania and thr Armani suit.
The question I have following the show is this. What constitutes a meal?
Is a feed of soup a meal? What if it comes in a bowl and you crumble a cracker into it? What about if it is accompanied with a sandwich?

Jerry always insisted that "soup is a meal", even though no one seemed to agree with him. However, he does prove his point. For instance in the "Soup Nazi" episode, Elaine initially wanted a cheeseburger, but Jerry talked her into having a bowl of soup instead. A cheeseburger is considered a meal, is it not?
Plus, if you will recall, only a small piece of bread came with the soup at the "Soup Nazi" 's, yet those who were served took their bag full of soup and rushed home. This, my friends, appears to constitute a meal, because no one made an extra trip to grab food anywhere else on the way home.
However, if they would have opened a can of condensed Campbell's soup, say chicken noodle, that's barely enough to remotely satisfy even the smallest of appetites. Campbell's admitted this flaw by having to create a new line of soups called "Chunky" ("eats like a meal").
Therefore, the conclusion one must make is the soup's ingredients determine whether it's a meal or not. There's a little-known fact about food labels that, by law, the list of ingredients in any food product must be listed in order of volume. So if you see a can of chicken soup, and chicken is last on the list of ingredients, there is *no* chicken for you. Usually "chicken flavored broth" is first on the list. So, keep that in mind when grocery shopping, and *hey*- let's be careful out there.
