FYI, everyone: according to the Associated Press, you might as well forget Elaine, Kramer, George, or anybody else getting a spinoff. Seinfeld and company have pretty much told NBC no for good on that one.
Also, the five shows still officially listed in the running for the "Seinfeld" time slot are: Friends, Frasier, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Mad About You and Just Shoot Me. Again, this is from the Associated Press...

Hmmm. How long will _Mad About You_? Hasn't this show been on long as Seinfeld, or close to it? I think _3rd Rock From the Sun_ will move to Thursdays at 8 (the show needs a permenant time slot after beting moved around a lot in the past year), and _Friends_ move to 9. They will still want to use the 8:30 slot for some lame show that they are trying to promote like _Union Station_. _Frasier_ needs to stay in it's Tuesday slot, other wise NBC has a lame Tuesday. Haven't seen any _Just Shoot Me_ episodes yet, so I can't comment on it.

They shouldn't take an established (or aging) hit and just give it the Golden Time Slot. They should do what they did when they replaced "Cheers" -- take a young, critically acclaimed yet underexposed show, and give it the chance its earned. ("Seinfeld" was getting clobbered by "Home Improvement" on Wednesdays before *it* got moved.)

It looks like NBC has given a big shot of confidence to the Just Shoot Me series by putting it in the coveted Union Square slot preceding Seinfeld on Thursday nights--at least for the time being. 3rd Rock as well as News Radio can't be too happy about that. alt showbiz gossip
