There IS something wrong with THIS.

I've been horrified by the large number of folks here at ATS who think the boys should have re-used the "Not that there's anything wrong with that," line in last week's episode.

Of course it was a good spot for the line, but good grief, that joke has been done, beautifully and perfectly before.

When I posted my appreciation that they stayed away from the line I received 8 e-mails and read at least ten ng posts that suggested that folks here at ATS really WANTED them to use the line again.

That seems wrong-headed to me and seems to be so against any kind of possible "growth" in this last season. Do you want to see them have another "contest," too?

I disagree. I think re-using that line would have simply been hilarious. It would have served as an indication that the Seinfeld we know now is still the same one we fell in love with years ago. In other words..continuity.

Okay, okay, I'm guilty. I was just waiting for them to add the line. I was quite disappointed when they didn't. On the question of "growth", yes there was; plenty of it, in fact. Unfortunately, it was a "growth" in mediocrity. Let's face it, most of the episodes this year have been mildly amusing at best. Right when the boys stated that they are not gay, my girlfriend yelled out the "not that there's anything wrong with it" line and I was tickled that she did and also tickled that they didn't actually do it. In an episode earlier this season (can't recall the title), Elaine is telling the crew about a guy who sidles up beside her to take credit for projects at her work and my girlfriend said (just before Elaine) that "he's a sidler". The writing has been a bit predictable and I agree that to use that line would've been obvious....
