George, Elaine or Jerry.... Kramer doesn't count as we really don't know what he does, besides some odd jobs.
in the start Elaine clearly seemed to be poor. Sharing a flat and George saying it's hard to find something in her price range
But Elaine gets more upscale as time goes on.
So what do you think the approx salaires are supposed to be of Jerry, George, and Elaine?

Jeryy was always doing something, and had a car, which Elaine and Kramer were always borrowing; so from the start, I'd say Jerry was pretty well off.
George, at one time, prior to working for the Yankees, had to give up his apartment and move back in with his parents; and he used to always borrow their car (a Cadillac that got destroyed by a mob for parking in a handicapped spot and got used in a prostitution ring, and later a GTO his father bought during his seperation). He did eventually buy his own car (a LeBaron he believed was once owned by Jon Voight). So George had some pretty tough times, too.
I don't think Elaine was very well off until she started working for Mr. Pitt, or possibly even until she started working for J. Peterman.
Somewhere on the DVD, I seem to remember someone mentioning that the real Kramer, Kenny Kramer, got by on money he earned from being a patent holder on the disco ball. Somehow, though it was never mentioned, I think that this was the secret source of Kramer's income, as he always seemed to have some money, but he usually mismanaged it (by either gambling or betting, or buying something totally useless). He had a couple of different cars, though they were always clunkers that would backfire a lot (The Race), that he didn't mind shoe-horning into parking spots by hitting other cars, or that wouldn't start at all when he desperately needed it to (The Parking Garage). Kramer was subletting his apartment from Paul Buchman, who later gave it to Kramer (whether this means the Paul owned the apartment or he just gave up his lease, I don't remember...that could be why Kramer didn't have to worry about paying rent or getting kicked out for reversing his peephole, or mounting a screendoor on it to make 'Anytown USA', if he actually owned the apartment). Kramer didn't seem to have too much trouble aquiring a bus to do his Peterman reality tour, so I have to think he was doing pretty well for himself, especially considering he never had to pay for food from Jerry's place, and he might have been getting kickbacks from varoius illegal activities (chicken fighting, bootlegging, fencing stolen goods, and various forms of fraud) that he and some of his friends were involved in, and he was thrifty, often finding loopholes in things to get free money (people not greeting him properly at the bank, etc), and buying his clothes from second-hand stores and getting all his services done at a discount from people he knew (The Glasses).
Kramer's whole life was a fantasy camp. Do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating; that's a fantasy camp. People should plunk down two thousand dollars to live like him for a week.

Yep, but it was Jerry who found the spelling "John" on the owner's manual in the glove box. And that "destroyed the experience" for George so George kicks Jerry out of the car and then Jerry is attacked for wearing the cowboy boots (like Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboy).

Jerry always made the most and made it consistantly. My guess is a hundred grand a year at first and two hundred grand a year by the end of the show..
George was second and inconsistant. $60,000 a year in real estate when the show began, $90,000 a year with the Yankees at the shows end.
Elaine. $40,000 a year at beginning. $70,000 a year at end with Peterman. Although when she was company president she may have been in the $200,000 range.
One contradiction may be that George's secretary starting making more than he did after she got a big raise.
