Actually, there is a sitcom that could work

They should make a spinoff about Monks Coffee Shop. It could be like Cheers where you see all the regulars and occassionally you see Jerry and the gang in the background talking about nothing. Since we're not going to have a spinoff of the most popular 4 characters in sitcom history, then why not have a spinoff of the most famous coffee shop in sitcom history

That's the first time I've ever heard of Monk's as a possible spinoff to Seinfeld. But the funny thing is that it is probably the only spinoff that could be successful.

Yes, it could be another Cheers, but it could also be another Union Square (-shudder-). Personally, I think a spin-off about the Soup Nazi would be better...

This is about the best idea I've heard for a Seinfeld spinoff yet! Anyone who thinks there is going to be an Elaine, or George or Kramer sitcom is dreaming. A Mr. and Mrs. Constanza show would be good, but I don't think that would happen either. (Or how about sort of an "Odd Couples" show with both George & Jerry's parents down in Florida?)

A show about the coffee shop would not be unprecedented - of course a sort of spinoff to All In The Family was "704 Hauser Street" in which Archie Bunker's house was spun off. That show didn't last long, but it did feature one up and coming Must See TV star - Maura Tierney of Newsradio.
