Elaine before Seinfeld?

Does anyone know the name of the sitcom that Elaine(Julia Louis-Dreyfus) played in? She played a neighbor who hated kids or something.....anyone know what I'm talking about??

The show was called "Day By Day" and ran from 1988 to 1989. It was about a family who ran a day care center and Julia was the ex-business associate of the father. Also starring in the show were Christopher Daniel Barnes ("The Brady Bunch Movie"), Courtney Thorne-Smith ("Melrose Place") and Thora Birch.

You're talking about Day by Day.. it was a mid 80's sitcom that didn't last too long.. she played Eileen Swift, Brian Harper's (Doug Sheehan) partner... He and his wife Karen (Linda Kelsey) ran a day care out of their home.

I think the show you are referring to was called "Day by Day" I could be wrong but it was about a couple who ran a daycare in their home and the guy that plays Greg Brady in the Brady Bunch movies was in it along with Allison from Melrose Place. [email] (TwinElvis) wrote:

There was a sitcom that Elaine was in before Seinfeld. I beleive that Courtney Thorne-Smith (Melrose Place)also co-starred in it. I'm thinking it was somthing like "Day By Day" but I can't be sure..

I have been trying to figure this one out myself! It was a (short-lived) sitcom, with some ALan Thicke look-a-like type, bleached blonde wife, with a teenaged kid. There was one episode where the kid dreamed he was stuck on "The Brady Bunch". The only good thing I remember was Julia Louis0-Dreyfus...what was the name of that show!???!!!!! It had to be something typical, like "Hangin' Out" or "Livin' the Life" or "Goin' Day by Day" or "Just Tryin' to Get By" or "Droppin' the Final G from Words Endin' in "ing"..." (!) EDS

about if he was a Brady instead of in his own family (which he didn't
like at times.)  Most of the original cast members of The Brady Bunch
guest-starred and it was a brilliant parody of the show.  Much better
than the movies.  (I thought that the idea of showing how out-of- place
the Bradys are in the 90's is just strange.)
	Also of note is that Julia Louis-Dreyfus was a regular on Saturday
Night Live for 3 seasons, from '82-'85.

Louis-Dreyfuss was the obnoxious yuppie neighbor in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation>" I don't recall her in a sit-com.

Also, my brother told me he saw a standup comedy routine from the prehistoric age in which she was very overweight.
