HEY TRIBBLE, READ THIS

I just had a question to ask you. Why do you still watch Seinfeld's new episodes even if you don't like them? If you hate them so much, and you know you're going to hate them, why do you still watch it then? Wouldn't it be much easier to go out and see Sour Grapes for the 10,000th time instead of sitting in front of the TV watching a show that you don't even like? Same thing goes out to everyone who says "The new episodes suck." Why the hell would you watch a show you don't like? Are you forced to watch Seinfeld on Thursdays? It seems to me it would be easier to just watch syndication instead of tuning into the new episodes, if you hate the new ones so much.

   Speaking for myself, the reason why I watch this show despite the fact that
I have been extremely disappointed with the overall quality of the show the
last few seasons is because I expect quality writing and acting from a show
that has been one of the best in the last decade.
   That anticipation was met with the Maid episode, which for the first time in
a while, I was laughing at a good percentage of the show.  This season, the
only shows that I would consider to be satisfactory are The Betrayal and The
Maid.
   To me, it does not matter who the writers of the episode are, but I just
want to see a quality comedy that MAKES ME LAUGH.
  There are a number of shows, most of them on NBC, that I watched religiously
for years, but have grown tired of the "comedy" that they are trying to push on
their audience.  Maybe I expect a show to stay at a level during its entire
run, and that is what has disappointed me the most about the recent episodes of
Seinfeld, because it has gone from a show that I would never want to miss, even
if I have to watch it on tape that same evening, to a show that I get around to
watch before I copy over the tape.

No, because this week, I was watching hockey from 9:00 to 9:30 this week, so there is nobody holding a gun to my head or a sledgehammer to my television.

Like I wrote above, it is not a matter of "hating" the new episodes, but for me, it is a matter of being disappointed with the quality of the show.

OKay, if you don't like the new episodes as much, it doesn't mean that they suck. Seinfeld is still a great show, but it isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Frankly, I liked teh past 2 episodes as much as teh old ones, but overall, this season hasn't been as funny as Seinfeld usually is. HOwever, Seinfeld's still a good show, so that's why i watch it.

And about The Puerto Rican Day, it was great. I thought Elaine's part was kinda lame, but teh rest was great, especially the laser on George. It was a final attent at puting the viewer in a situation of claustrophobia(teh movie, the parking garage, teh chines restaurant). i mean it had to happen, the cast of seinfeeld stuck in traffic.

Given, I do hate them, but I'm simply articulating them and exposing their faults. I don't sit here and post little, silly, frivilous messages about how I hate Seinfeld - instead I try to form intelligently written reviews of the episodes instead.

Well, I do enjoy watching the new episodes - every week I hope that the show will be good - unfortunately, it never is.

The new episodes suck.

No one forces me to watch them, I watch them in the (perhaps vain) hope that even a minute amount of the old-Seinfeld style comedy will still be present. At least with Larry David having written for the last show, there may be some hope left yet...

I'm a long time fan who finds many of the last 2 season's episodes to be extremely funny, tremendously entertaining, and easily as good as anything that came out in the first few seasons. No, the new episodes are not necessarily funny "in the same way" but what does that even mean? This season has seen "intertwining plot lines and genius conversations" as well as slapstick zaniness which, guess what, is funny!
