Over the years, I've seen various comedians/humorists like Gilbert Gottfried and Howard Stern do their impressions of Jerry's act that more often than not are right on target. For example, one of the aforementioned funny men will speak in halting tones, emphasizing the wrong word and asking questions like, "Why do they call it a _____./What's the deal with _____. There's no ______. They should call it a <different term>".

Methinks Jerry is not only aware of such lampooning, he embraces it. As a matter of fact, I've seen Jerry himself mock his act in various episodes.

In an episode titled "The Fatigues", he takes on Banya the hack-comic as his protege and helps him rewrite his routine on Ovaltine. The end result went something like, "What's the deal with Ovaltine? The mug is round. The cup is round. Why don't they call it Roundtine?"

In another episode last season whose name escapes me, Jerry goes back to his old middle school for career day to talk about his profession. As most of you may know, Jerry gets two hours by episode's end to address an assembly full of students. Among the first words out of his mouth are, "Hey kids! What's the deal with homework? You're not working on your home." Boos follow almost immediately.

He even lets late-night talk guys inot the act. I recall a few years ago when David Letterman was doing his Late Show from Los Angeles, Dave did oneof his routines where he makes a mad dash out of the studio for Lord knows why. One of the places he visits is Jerry's apartment-- guitar strumming and mouth-popping included. Dave interrupts a conversation between George and Jerry in character and exclaims, "Hey guys! I've got one! Why do they call it a sandwich? There's no sand. It's not made by a witch".

While the preceding may not be laugh out loud funny, it's just something I noticed and never fails to bring a smile to my face.

This more than anything else is an indication that our Jerry has a relatively good sense of humor about himself and is comfortable enough to let others poke fun at him.

Now if only he'll do a storyline with a big-breasted college coed.

Jerry-- What's the deal with people getting sick? I mean what's the deal with cancer?

Man in audience-- Hey! I have cancer!

What's the deal with this? Why do some many guys have to be creeps, neanderthals? How does this have anything to do with what your whole post was about? This kind of comment is sickening.

If this is the mindset of guys who watch Seinfeld, maybe I'm watching the wrong show.

Lighten up, sweetie !

Every guy, however civilised, is a Neanderthal just below the surface - I thought most women knew that.

What's the deal with big breasts, anyhow ? You're not just a teenie-weenie bit jealous, are you ? : )

P.S. I'm a breast man myself . Who needs legs.... I already got legs !
