What do y'all think about the post-Larry seasons - who says they're better, who says they're not?

Fans debate whether Seinfeld declined after Larry David departed as showrunner, with most agreeing the later seasons lacked the cynical edge and quality writing that defined earlier episodes.

Not. Larry David is the heart and paranoid soul of "Seinfeld".
In some cases in Seasons 8 and 9, the writing is downright awful.
Yet in other cases, The Merv Griffin Show, the writing was great. Mostly though, weaker.
Not. They tried to mimic and continue Larry's style; they referenced past episode plot lines line crazy but the episodes did not have the sharp edge and reality based writing that made "Seinfeld" famous. Too many silly events and the characters lost their "centre", the basis of what made them who they were.
