seinfeld inconsistancy?

did anyone happento notice,  in a couple of the first season/second season
episodes, jerry's apartment door has a 3 instead of a 5?   but kramer's
across the hall has a 5.   i think one of the episodes is the robbery episode,
but i'm not positive.   jenn

Yes. I noticed that. In the episode in which George and Jerry plan to switch the answering machine tapes, Jerry lives in apartment 3A. He, of course, lives in 5A. Anyone know why?
