Folks, yesterday after taking the real Kramer's "Reality Tour" of NYC, my family and I walked over to the Soup Guy.
Let me tell you, all the hype about his soup is NOT JUST HYPE. The soup is INCREDIBLE.
I feel sorry for the guy, though. Several times during our wait, cars pulled over in front of his place, and people screamed out "NAZI". The guy really isn't a nazi at all. In fact he seemed very nice to us.
As far as paying extra for bread, I think that's just a Seinfeld joke. Not only did each of us get a large chunk of crusty French whole wheat bread, we got a large selection of excellent fresh fruit, and some yogurt to dip it in. Even got a piece of chocolate with each order.
My order was seafood bisque. Without a doubt the best I ever tasted. Big chunks of lobster. Loads of shrimp, scallops, and mussels. Everything tender, not overcooked. And a wonderful broth of fresh herbs. Mmmm
The guy obviously cares a lot about his work. If more of us had this attitude we could do some truly amazing things.
Well worth a visit when visiting the Big Apple!
