Fans love Mad About You and are pleased it airs on the same night as Seinfeld, though some express frustration about scheduling conflicts with The Simpsons and Wings.

Actually, since I'm usually out on Thursday nights, this is why I have *two* VCRs hooked up now. There are no other shows on at the same time as shows I tape except these two.

We're gonna get flamed to death for talking about Mad About You, but it's not Mark I miss (although he was great in "Sofa's Choice" and "When Jamie Met Paul"), it's Selby! Selby, the long lost best friend who was just dropped off the face of the earth and made into a cousin named Ira. (sigh)

--Sorry, but I gotta say something here...it's about time for a new group called alt.tv.mad.about.you; this isn't a flame, but since I really hate that show I really hate reading about it in a newsgroup intended for my favorite show--and this tends to piss me off. So maybe you MAY fans can please get together and organize a new newsgroup? Who knows? You might get the following that we have here in Seinfeld. (Then again, IMHO, maybe not) Thanks, guys.

Actually, the official title is "Met Someone". "When Jamie Met Paul" (why not the other way around? after all it's "When Harry Met Sally") is just an unofficial name that took root here early and is used often enough that people think it's official.

Hear, hear! Ira just can't cut it.

I especially liked the unexpected depth he demonstrated at the end of "Out of the Past". And his schtick with Paul in the pilot ep far exceeds anything Ira's managed to drum up.
