How come Seinfeld never officially released ANY episodes on VHS/DVD?
It had a huge following, especially in the USA, so it would have been profitable and kept a lot of die hard fans happy.
Just wondering if they ever gave a reason for this. Sorry if this is in the FAQ...

The 100th episode (a "Best Of" tape) was released in 1995.
I think it has something to do with the huge syndication deal they have and the fact that it'll be going to TBS (The Superstation) soon... If they put out VHSes or DVDs, then perhaps not as many people will watch it on TBS, and Time Warner wouldn't like that since they paid so much $$ to air it.

Here in Australia there were a few tapes released back in about '91 or '92. The episodes weren't in any particular order, from memory, just a sort of 'best of' the first few seasons.
