Bunk and Debunked

I just watched the episode about the wheelchair parking spot, and I'd like to know what the true meaning of the word "bunk" is! Jerry, Elaine and George were discussing this topic before going to "the Drake's" house.

So is bunk a negative thing or a positive thing? Jerry thought that if something is bunk, it's bad. But then what about Debunk? Doesn't this mean to discredit someone? And if Debunk is the opposite of bunk, then therefore to be bunk is a good thing!

Someone please help me out on this! I'm losing sleep, ever since I watched that episode of Fox. :)

BUNK = nonsense, incincere or foolish talk

DEBUNK = to expose the sham or falseness of ~ to point out as Bunk

There's another one that bugs me. We've all heard about the disgruntled postal worker....or is he really just gruntled?

i would say bunk is crap. and debunked is unseated, like a solution is found. A mystery is debunked when it is solved.

Splitting hairs here, but a myth is debunked when it's proven untrue. A mystery is solved, but that doesn't mean it is an untruth before the solution.
