PROTEST AGAINST SEINFIELD

Actually Jerry Seinfeld created the show. He isn't a nazi, he is JEWISH. Seinfeld insults evreyone, including themselves. Learn to laught at your faults, you'll be a lot happier. Also, the episode didn't make fun of India. The parents said the bad things about India so Geoge wouldn't go! Pay attention to the story, and not just a small fraction of it. Dan

Exactly. If you dont like a show, don't watch it. Don't go on the internet and protest it, and call people NAZI when they are jewish. That could be a very hurtful thing to call someone, especially if someone is jewish. Jai Maharja, think before you write. The December 11th episode of Seinfeld contained derogatory remarks about Jeeps. Before millions of Americans, Jeeps were described as ugly as a male body. The writers also had the audacity to state that Jeeps were "utilitarian" and only good for "getting you from here to there". The fact that such comments were made by urban New York City types was all the more shocking. I really don't think that bunch would know a CJ from a TJ let alone, the positive aspects of these time honored vehicles. It is time for the growing Jeep community in the United States and elsewhere to make their presence felt. I ask all of you to encourage fellow Jeep drivers/lovers to email a message of protest to [email] or to visit: http://www.rag-rag-rag.com/another/stupid/sein-protest/ where no prepared email message of protest can be easily sent. Jeep lovers cannot afford to be quiet any longer. Loads of other groups that have felt poor, picked and abused have all united to clog this newsgroup with silly protests that no one at NBC even reads. It is time for the Jeep community to do likewise.

I hope that this was a joke.....I know I feel more abused that Chrysler charges me $400 a month to drive one than I do when someone says it's ugly or utilitarian.

is it really that big of a deal guys?? anyone who would be influenced by jokes about india or many of the other silly jokes made on the show about ethniic groups or locales is some one you shouldn't be concerned with yourself because i doubt they'd watch the show... if you haven't noticed pretty much everyone gets screwed at some point , even the stars... whether you're black,jewish,chinese, native american, or whatever, you've probably noticed a joke about your ethnic group and you had to laugh.... get over it.. learn to take a joke... if seinfeld trid to be pc it wouldn't be as funny as it is..

One simple word fully describes the hysteria of the laughable "Protest" regarding the innocuous comment made on Seinfeld... ridiculous. People, get a grip!!! Yeah, but they are sort of ugly - or at least not in concert with the current aesthetic trends. And, The beauty of them is that they are PURELY utilitarian and only good from getting you from here to there. The thing that is funny about the context on Seinfeld is that "from here to there" is further and to more places than any other vehicle in history. (A compliment to the male body, actually... the perfect machine?) Remember, it was Enzo Ferrari (I believe) that said that the jeep is the only true american sports car.
