I know it is too late, but last night while watching Seinfeld I thought how perfectly a Wizard of Oz parody would fit. Here's the plot
Elaine is "Dorothy"--she is dog sitting a small terrier named two-two that has a habit of running away. He also hates postal workers. The person that owns the dog has gone on vacation and as a thank you gift, she mails Elaine a pair of red shoes that Elaine had been eyeing. Elaine loves them, but hasn't got a thing to wear with them, so after finding that she cannot hand carry them into the stores to match them up with a dress (they think she is shoplifting), she get's into the habit of wearing them while shopping for the perfect dress.
George is the "Lion"--He runs into a guy he knew back when he worked for the Yankees. This guy worked for a rival team that had a Lion as a mascot--could be from any sports. The guy engages George into a bet and George loses. George must wear the Lion mascot outfit on the field in front of a rowdy audience and perform a routine. Imagine George standing on the sidelines, dressed as a lion, and he's trembling with fear of the huge angry crowd. He talks to Jerry about his fear of walking on the field. "The last guy that wore this lion uniform on the field was torn asunder by the crowds Jerry! Torn asunder!"-- also can play off the Lions and The Christians games of early history by having the opposing team's mascot dressed as a Warrior or something.
Kramer is the "Tinman"--He has invented a new sunscreen designed to "reflect" the sun, however, when he tests his new product on himself, there is a side effect. The chemicals in the lotion mix with his skin and he turns a shiny silver. Meanwhile, he and Newman get into an argument and Kramer turns against him. Kramer complains to Jerry (the Wizard) that he is afraid that he no longer has any heart. "What type of person have I become Jerry? I turned against my best friend. I'm heartless!"
Jerry is the "Wizard"--he receives as a gift, a voice altering gadget that he plays around with by changing his voice to sound deeper to scare off door to door solicitior's, etc. He ends up dispensing advice to Kramer and to George about their respective problems.
Newman is the "Witch"--When Elaine's little dog bites him on the leg, he gets ugly. "I'll get you for this Elaine," he shouts. "I'll get you and your little dog too!" It is because of his altered demeanour that Kramer shuns him.
The next to final scene shows Elaine chasing the little dog down the street. To her left is the street crew repainting the street and a malfunction occurs when Newman rams his mail truck into the side while chasing Elaine. The yellow paint used to paint road stripes pours out and runs down the road in front of Elaine. She is wearing her red shoes because was out shopping when the little dog got away. She ends up slipping and hitting her head, knocking herself out.
The last scene as credits roll shows Elaine in the hospital, with bandages around her head. All the friends are gathered around, and it plays out like the final scene of the Wizard of Oz. "You were there, and so were you..." The End Regina
