Fans discuss a website selling bootleg Seinfeld DVDs for $270, debating whether an official DVD release would be worth purchasing over digital files.
I was doing a search for someone about the Commedian DVD, and typed in "Jerry Seinfeld Commedian" as my search. This is what came up, thought you guys might be interested....

Only thing is, they are selling it for $270 (US). Thought you guys out there might be interested. But keep in mind, this is NOT the OFFICIAL release. These are people selling "rare" stuff.

I'm not sure if I really want Seinfeld on dvd. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan but I have all 180 episodes in .avi format on my computer and I love how easy it is to navigate by just double clicking here and there. I don't know if I would want to switch dvds all the time. I guess if there was some extra footage on the dvd set I might buy it for that but for now I am happy with my .avi collection even though the video quality is serverly lacking. What do you guys think?

I'm with you. I think "mzmeryze is nuts" if (s)he doesn't want to able to see it on any tv connected to a dvd player, regardless of the clarity issue, which of courses figures highly. I can't see that they will be able to make the DVDs fast enough to keep up with demand.
the quality of the DVD's on that site are probably no better than the avi's anyway...
most of these pirates are working from the same material.. they basically get the crappy avi's off the internet, convert them to mpeg and put them up for sale recorded onto DVD discs, the quality is still shit, it just takes up more space..\...
