The Top 3 Best and Worst Episodes

My favorites are:

The Checks ("Not the Farbman!!") The Chicken Roaster ("Vile weed!") and The Bubble Boy ("Oh, Noooo, I'm so sorry. It's the MOOPS.")

The Worst are:

The Betrayal The Dealership and The Frogger

Jerry came very close to jumping the shark in the 9th season, but I actually think that the final episode wrapped things up as well as it might have.

I love Seinfeld as much, and maybe even more, than the next guy but the final episode and final season were unwatchable for me.

It's like the network forced certain things to be included in the final ep.

Like as the plane is going down, Jerry saying, "Is this how it ends....it can't"

And Elaine and Jerry then saying they have to tell eachother something, then Elaine says "Jerry....I've always loved...."

Or Kramer saying "Yeah...there's something in the air...."

Perhaps they weren't pressured to include stuff like this, but they just seem so contrived.

I do however love the fact that they made the final conversation (about the buttons on the shirt) the same as the first ever conversation in the first episode.

Oh no, you are perfectly right. The 9th season was them simply going through the motions, because their audience had peaked and the money was too good. And in the finale, it was unfunny until they landed the plane and were arrested for violating the Good Samaritan Law. Then it was only held together as another Clips marathon. The 9th season we could have done without. Only good ones of the 9th were perhaps The Junk Mail and The Merv Griffen Show. Thanks, Alex

I couldn't disagree more (respectfully). The only episode that's out of place is The Puerto Rican Day, imho. The rest of the season is quite good, come on, in addition to the two you've listed there The Serenity Now, The Blood, The Apology (Puddy screaming "germs!", hahaha), The Strike (how do you like your bagels NOW?!), and others.

I agree. To each his own. Some people say the show suffered early on when the characters started yelling their lines. I thought they ended the show on a high note(the season, not the final ep).

Season 9:

The Merv Griffin Show The Reverersed Peephole The Serenity Now...to name a few.

I think season 9 is pretty funny.

I watched "The Movie" last night and I think it's officially one of my least favorite shows. Isn't "The Movie" and "The parking space" the only two episodes where we never see Jerry's apartment?

Normally Jerry's apartment is very clean, but I heard that some item had been in the toilet, and he had no idea what it was.

I can't bear to watch the season finale. It's not 'them' at all. But I think the Merv Griffin episode alone makes up for any season 9 shortcomings. "I'm going to put him in this frogsuit and then we're going to the sink."

Three fav : (in no particular order)

   The Contest  {Kramer going out like that...one of the funniest moments on
TV i've ever seen}
   The Bizarro Jerry   {clever! / funny!}
   The Puffy Shirt   {a "low talker" ... hilarious}

as far as three worst...I like ALL Seinfelds --- greatest show on television IMHO, but

   The Puerto Rican Day {eh}
   The Finale Ep.  {so-so, spotty humor}
   The Yada Yada  {I know, HOW COULD I ... seen it about 100x, kinda getting
old}

I thought the ep when Kramer moved to LA and was acused of being a serial killer was one of the best. Another great one is The Serenity Now and The Soup. A low point could be when Kramer moved in with Jerry's parents in Florida. Forget the ep title.

Yeah, it's funny how other people talking about other episodes that I "forgot about" makes me re-think my 3 fav....like the episode where Kramer takes medicine for a dog beacuase thinks he got his cold from a dog...and the one you mentioned above, Kramer moving to California. That one line when George asks if he's REALLY going to CA he replies "up here...I'm already gone!" HILARIOUS!!

That's the second to last episode. The "gang", riding in Jerry's car, is held up in traffic due to some Puerto Rican Day parade/festival...other happenings in that episode are: George has some guy pointing a laser pin at him, Elaine tries, unsuccessfully, to take alternate routes home, and Kramer acts like some wealthy man named "Pennypacker" just to use this bathroom in an apartment for rent {really the only funny parts of the whole episode IMO --- the rest, eh}

The Opposite ("Can't you see...I've become GEORGE!")

The Outing ("My father's gay!")

The Contest ("...treating your body like it was an amusement park!")

three worst:

The Dealership (George was too one-dimensionally obnoxious)

The Frogger (never really goes anywhere)

The Puerto Rican Day (rather lackluster)

The Best 3

The Dinner Party - My all-time favorite episode. The Fire - Just 3 words. Eric the clown. The Chinese Restaurant - Excellent despite the absence of Kramer.

Honorable Mention

The Parking Garage - Just walking and talking, Seinfeld at its best. The Contest - A very well remembered episode, for good reason. The Chicken Roaster - A rare late in the run gem.

The Worst 3

The Dealership - Brutal, just awful episode. The Busboy - Unusually dark, this early episode misses. The Frogger - Dumb. Really dumb.

Dishonorable Mention

The Voice - Darren is funny but the whole backslide thing and the voice? Ughh. The Strongbox - I wish they'd lock this episode up and throw away the key ;) The Deal - There's a reason why people don't like relationship humor...
