Fans confirm that bootleg videos made by camcording movies in theaters are real and circulate at swap meets and street vendors, with poor quality from background noise.

They totally do it. I know someone that bought "Jurassic Park" it's premiere week at the swap meet. The picture and the sound really sucked, but it was the movie.

I was not uncommon to find "said" bootlegs available on the streets of NY the same day the movie was released to the theatres. Usually right in front of the main entrance of Penn Station (Madison Square Garden) right there on the sidewalk. Many of these tapes are of very poor quaility, and I wouldn't put it into my VCR without a condom! <G>.
