The final episode

(I hope this finally posts) I've just gotten word of the plot of the season finale, which will be the final episode of the series. Entitled "The Last Episode," it will be two hours long. On the show: Jerry goes insane from all the stress; Kramer goes deaf from all the gunfire (no word on his first name, though); Elaine moves to Belgium to head Pendant Publishing's operations there; George stays in Queens to marry a local girl; Newman spends the show teaching a string quartet to play Mozart. NBC is hoping for the highest ratings ever. Dave

I believe Mr. Platt is alluding to the final episode of MASH, which still ranks as one of the highest rated telvision broadcasts ever!

Coincidently, this week's _Boston Phoenix_ (12/23) - a weekly arts and alternate views newspaper had a cover story on an equally bogus "final episode" plot, written by an admitted Seinfeld-hater (and writer for Diffrent Strokes, among other things) who now teaches in Boston.

Could somebody be sending up a trial baloon to see how loud people scream at the prospect of the show's demise?

If that's the case, then I'd love to see a George spinoff, although with George not being married.....can't see George succeeding in a relationship anyway.
