KRAMER ON LENO

Hey Net, Did anybody else see Kramer on the Tonight show? It was simply HILARIOUS. Not much of an interview though, because Kramer was too crazy to let jay ask anything (thank god). Kramer just started to talk, and joke, and do karate and yoga - sticking his butt in James Woods face doing it - and talking about his hair, and fans waiting in front of his house, and I just cracked up. It was the funniest interview ( if you want to call it that ) I have seen in a loooooong time. Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Did anyone see Kramer on the Tonight Show? Micheal Richards *is* Kramer. Everything he did was exactly like he would have done it on Seinfeld. My favorite part was when he was all bent over discussing crossing the border at Tiajuana. "What oranges?" =8-)

About Michael Richards on the Tonight Show last night, he was incredible. The look on his face as he schowed how once he broke two ribs doing the sort of comedy we know and love from him was great.

Oh, by the way, Yo-Yo Ma picked up two grammys last night.

P.S. Kramer for Pez sounds like a great idea. Who do we need to write to make it happen?

     I liked what Kramer said about the Gap ad...
         something like: I was in the bathroom, washing up,
                         and all of a sudden I heard a camera
                         shutter!
         I wonder if the front of Jay's desk was set up for
         Kramer to peel the facing off.  Any thoughts?

I may be a cynic, but the whole segment seemed like a set up. Although Kramer is one of my all-time favorite TV characters, I would rather have seen Michael Richards talk about himself as himself, instead of putting on a Kramer routine (funny as it was). I think this is a complaint I have with Leno anyway - he seems to have a set agenda for each interview, and they all come out dry and totally un-spontaneous.

I agree!!! Or at least let them do one segment of "set-up" and another where they are "real". I thought that was the point of talk shows...let people get a little more than they would just by watching the TV show (or move, etc.).
