FINALLY!! An episode that I actually laughed my head off to!!! Felt like the old Seinfeld again.

Although it DID seem rather contrary to the message in that "PC" episode a while back, but...heck, that's be just a nitpick!!

Indeed, a very good episode! I certainly agree that it "felt like the old Seinfeld again." But did you like the actual use of the "Yadda yadda yadda" stuff? I thought that seemed a little bit...maybe....trite? Something about it seemed like it was very forced. I didn't like the fact that NBC even promoted the episode as one to watch to pick up "the latest thing you'll be saying the next day" kind of phrase. But the episode as a whole was great, I agree. It just annoyed me that it seemed they had to sink to creating a "new phrase" to come up with a good episode.
Just my thoughts.

And I agree w\ your thoughs on this matter. When Jerry was on Leno and said that "this weeks what the one of the best" I was really jonesin' to see it, it came and I hardly laughed. A major error on the part of NBC. And I feel like a fool when I said this just yesterday, but when they said "You be sayin' Yadda the next day" I said to myself in a rude manner "Yea right." I'm really glad they proved me wrong. =)

it was a funny bit, though. not only will people quote lines with yada yada to imitate the show, but will have more fun making up their own with friends and coworkers. the script used it and developed it and used it in more than just the original situation with george's girlfriend. although, one of the funniest moments was when george blindly stumbles into it, karma begins to work, and he gets the first big yada yada from her.
i used to think that the people involved in the "get smart!" show were so happy that people picked up those phrases and repeated them. then i read that they, the creators, wanted that and planned and reinforced it. the seinfeld creators are not doing that, probably because they are too busy trying to create the funniest shows they can. but i think they are pretty happy that so many people like the show and quote it the next day--the sign of any marketer's nirvana, anyhow.
if i had seen it, i too would have been irked with nbc for poisoning my pure seinfeld thoughts like that. that line sucks. but we still like them.
"we are just trying to create the funniest show we can" is what jerry said at one time. you're doing a *real good* job, still. ...just great. thanks for a funny show.
