Gary Shandling and John Lithgow? Gimme a break! I always felt Gary's show was overrated, and Lithgow relies more on his gawky goofiness to get laughs (don't get me wrong-he's still a good actor). No guest appearance nomination for "Puddy"? Its obvious from the list that more well-known guest actors were chosen than an unknown actor who really brought something to a show. Jason and Julia did get nominations, as well as the show itself. Granted, this wasn't the show's best season by any strectch, but check out all the competition--IMO a nomination is appropriate. This wasn't Seinfeld's greatest season, either, but he still knows how to deliver lines and show precision in timing. A nomination would not have been inappropriate--especially seeing those who got one.
