Fans clarify that George slipped his boss a mickey in "The Revenge" rather than poisoning him fatally, and note this differs from his later murder of Susan via poisoned envelopes.
In an old episode that I watched last week (WB11 in NY) there was a reference to George having poisoned his last boss (his reason for being unemployed). This episode was from an early season, long before he did in Susan by way of the poison envelopes. Anyone know any details on this? Was there an episode with this or was this to have taken place before the show started? Thanks.

In episode 12 (The Revenge), George is so angry at his ex-boss (who fired him from the real estate agency), that he "slips him a mickey" at a bar (with Elaine's help). Naturally, just before the boss drinks the spiked cocktail, he offers Georgie Boy his old job back. It's assumed the offer was withdrawn after the boss came to.
So, while technically one could say George poisoned his boss, it was not (nor was it intended to be) lethal.
Yes, it was in episode 212 - The Revenge. Actually he didn't "poison" his boss in the fatal sense. He "slipped him a mickey," which was designed to make him a little woozy. Also in that episode, Newman was trying to commit suicide.

One last item to add to this thread. The whole reason George got fired was he had it out with his boss because the boss,Rick Levitan, would not let George use the executive bathroom.
In George's defense, the envelope incident was totally accidental, unlike the 'Mickey'.

There are a certain group of fans & even characters on the show that think the death of Susan Ross was NO ACCIDENT. After all, George did flip open that book of invitations to the back very quickley & almost deliberately to the page with the deadly envelopes and invitations. It turned out that Mr. & Mrs Ross did not think their duaghter's death was an accident. Also Wick Thayer, the head of the Susan Ross Foundation actually discussed the possiblity of George killing Susan with the other members of the board. So just be careful when defending good old George!!!!
