Any one else ever notice the similarity in appearance between Kramer and Columbo?
Especially when Kramer does that weird slack- jawed facial expression.
The cigars, the hair, the tanned leathery skin....

Yeah, but the big difference is that with Columbo, it's all an act to get the murder suspect to lower his/her guard. Columbo's got a razor-sharp mind and his demeanor is totally put-on. In Kramer's case, when he appears to be spaced out, he really is.
