chinese food

In tonight's episode with Jerry dening that he watches Melrose Place, the first scene is odd. Jerry and Elaine are eating Chinese food which is on his table. The smell brings Kramer into the apartment. Then George comes in and goes to the refridgerator and pulls out a container of Chinese food. Why would there be a container of Chinese food in the refridgerator? And if it is leftovers from last time, then why does George pick that container rather than the hot food on the table?

George is very choosey about the food he eats. I'm sure the food in the refrigerator was just more to his taste than the hot food Jerry & Elaine were just eating. Just my opinion.
