Could someone please explain to me the "levels" Kramer was talking about in "the pony remark" episode? He wants to get rid of his furnitures and put levels in his apartment like ancient Egyt or something... I don't get it.

I think part of the humour in the episode is we're not really _supposed_ to get it - We're supposed to be confused by the whole plan, like the way Jerry is when he bets against it even happening.
