I think I have seen Larry David's name in the titles under 'Created by'. Didn't he leave the show long time back? Just curious.

Fans clarify that Larry David's creator credit remains permanently despite his departure from the show years ago, and one notes the show's recent quality decline.

Larry David is NOT back. But he will forever have his name in the credits because he helped "create" the show & will continue to make money from that.
The fact that David was co-creator doesn't change with time.
Although, with the way the past few episodes have turned out, I also had to double check whether David had returned.
Once you "create" a show the credit stays for life. The creator can leave after the first show, it doesn't matter, the credit remains. It's like an actor "originating" a role (being the first to play it) on the stage.

Right, the way Star Trek shows have "created by Gene Roddenbury" even though he's dead. --Maria
