Best part was Peter Gabriel, a great version of "In Your Eyes"!!!

Absolutely right!!! The Gabriel performance was worth sitting through 90 minutes of filler. Sounded like the audience gave him a standing O at the end of the song. Pete was obviously touched by the crowd's enthusiasm. I know, I'll take this to alt.fan.gabriel, sorry.

This had to be the funniest skit that night. Especially when they all looked over to G.E.Smith and the band. I just love to hate that guy. He annoys me so much...and I don't know why. Hmmmmm.

For once the musical group, Peter Gabriel, played 2 great songs - Steam and In Your Eyes, and it sounded as good as the recording.

I must agree that SNL is on the way out. There are few shows that are worth the 1 1/2 hr. time slot. Do what I do. Record it and FF through all the garbage. They should consider changing to a 1hr. timeslot. Anyway this is a Seinfeld board so I only mentioned it because of Jason being on it.

P.S. I think the character was Keith Hernandez, not Fernandez. I could be mistaken though.

This is the same old, tired "Saturday Night Dead" argument that's been going on since 1980. Yeah, it sucked last week; yeah, it sucks in a lot of places EVERY week, but if you ever get a chance to go back and watch the ORIGINAL SNLs from the 70s (not the cut-and-paste jobs on VH-1, not the videos of the single best episodes ever, but just a random, whole 90 min episode), you'll find that there's almost as much unfunny filler in them too.
