In the interview with Larry David in yesterday's New York Times, David mentioned a "low-talker" -does anyone know what episode this refers to and/or who it happened to?

Low talkers = Seinfelds "word" for people that talk REALLY quitely.
The Low-talker:
Short Answer: 'The Fluffy Shirt' longer answer: I believe this was one of Kramer's Girlfriends who was a fashion designer & who would talk verrrry quitely. Seinfeld 'promised' her to wear one of her 'pirate' or 'fluffy' shirts during an interview at the Today show. (This was also the episode where George had a job as a 'hand' model)

I believe they refered to the shirt as: "The Puffy Shirt" Just thought I'd point it out.

It was "The Puffy Shirt". It happened to Jerry.
Yes that was the classic puffy shirt episode where kramers girlfriend asks jerry over dinner whether he will wear her new shirt on the today show while he's interviewed by bryant gumbel. instead of jerry talking about the charity gumble humiliates him during the interview. this episode also had george has a hand model. george asked what happened to the previous hand model and was told he was not master of his domain. george replies, I won a contest.
truly a top10 episode if there ever was one.
besides the low talker, don't forget the close talker (another top 10), the high talker.
The low talker was Kramer's girlfriend who mumbled. Jerry was polite and nodded even though he could not understand her then found out he had agreed to wear the Puffy Shirt on the Today show.
