JFK-Seinfeld Connection

I was watching JFK last night, and I noticed Wayne Knight was playing one of Jim Garrison's (Kevin Costner's) investigation team. I had seen the movie 6 years ago when it was in theatrical release, but did not remember that little coincidence. Nice little surprise.

Then in the last 1/2 hour of the movie during the trial of Clay Shaw, what do I witness? Newman (in a packed courtroom) in a re-enactment of the actual assassination playing Texas Governor John Connelly. I was bustin' out laughing thinking of the "Magic Lugee" episode. That movie must've played heavily in the creative idea for putting that in a Seinfeld episode. You will never watch that movie scene with a straight face again.

Yesterday, for the first time, I saw the movie "To Die For" in which Wayne Knight plays the television station manager where Nicole Kidman's character works. He did a great job. I've noticed recently that Knight does a good job in every role he takes on.

And it was this connection that was extra funny about the "magic loogie" bit. Remember? SolPat
