If you're planning on taping Seinfeld's 2 hr finale (who isn't?) and Leno later, do yourself a favor and check well in advance if you have a new or blank VHS tape lying around. The last time I wanted to tape something I scrambled around frantically trying to find a blank tape and as I couldn't, had to tape over another program I would have preferred to keep.

Best Buy was sold out of blank video tapes today. Won't get any new tapes in until Friday.

#4 Buy fresh batteries for your remote control.
#5 Don't even use the remote control. Use the buttons on the VCR to be safe.

If you have 2 vcr's, don't take a chance, set 'em both up! Tape in SP, it'll last longer.
