The Great Escape

(Donald Pleasence) uses the 'dime' trick that George mimics to prove he can see. He places a dime on the floor and pretends to see it when Jerry (James Garner) comes in the room.

Only the actual movie parodies, though. A casual mention isn't enough. It has to be either a healthy chunk of a plot (George teaching himself Portuguese ala John Travolta in "Phenomenon") or a duplicated scene (Jerry and Kramer at the end of "The Mom and Pop Store" doing "Midnight Cowboy"), or even a single line or gesture (George, with raised fists screaming "Khan!!!" in "The Foundation" as an obvious parody of "Star Trek II").

But i think a simple reference to a movie (like Elaine's Dr. Zaius line) shouldn't count.

I think the movie was called Phenomenon, the one where John Travolta is hit by lightning or something, and he becomes extremely intelligent. He learns Portuguese in minutes to be able to help someone who speaks that language.

Yes; I saw Seinfeld's "The Abstinence" first, without knowing what, if anything, they were parodying. Then I saw Phenomenon, and caught the connection right away.
