If anyone read the feature in a special May 1998 issue of "ON TV" (a semi-nationally distributed newspaper insert, i.e. "TV WEEK", "TV PLUS", basically much thinner attempts at a TV Guide). You may have read the article on the "rejected premises" by the Seinfeld staff for a finale, before Larry David's script, which Seinfeld called a "masterpiece", was introduced. I just found this thing in my recycling bin...just thought I'd share it :
"The Clay Jerry" by John C. Shwartz and Jerry Seinfeld After his three friends introduce their weekly prediciments, he finds himself bored and tired. He plops down on the couch and holds a clay mold of him that Kramer had made. He looks at it for a second and kind of drifts off into sleep. The episode revolves around the 'fab four' in a claymation adventure, with some real finality, until jerry wakes up.
"The Last Big Thing" by Glenn Hashmen After Kramer wins a radio contest, Jerry and George join him in a trip to Italy. But a left-out Elaine strives to find her independance and marries Puddy.
"The Finale" by Mary Fann George dies.
