Jerry's friends

It seems to me that Elaine is really Jerry's friend of choice. I mean George is a legacy from his youth. Kramer lives there, so he's kind of stuck with him.

What's also odd is that they slept together at least three times after they broke up, and are still 'normal' friends like the others. There was of course the two times we know of during 'The Deal', then the other time when Jerry tried to giver her the big 'O' after finding out she faked it.

That makes sense. But then again, if you see "Male Unbonding" (Season 2), there is another legacy from his childhood ("he had a ping pong table, I liked to play ping pong... I was 10! Should I suffer for the rest of my life?!")... so I am guessing that George is a legacy that is selected to be kept in and alive. Jerry does not dismiss George the way he dismisses Kramer and he doesn't wish him out of his life the way he does with Kramer. George is a very strong ally to Seinfeld and a man that Jerry can (hope to) rely on. Proof to the matter is The Switch: George's dedication and Jerry asking for his help...

I would tend to think that Elaine needed Jerry's friendship more than the other way round, but that, of course, can be subject to a juicy debate :o)
