Since I asked the question about the slow elevator -- has an "Elevator" reference list ever been done? -- I don't know if there are enough relevant things in the show to warrant a "Elevator list" but I remember there have been a few elevator references or occasions in the shows, like:
Episode 2 The Stakeout: Jerry and George are waiting for Vanessa in the lobby of her building (Art Corvelay - it sounds made up) Morty: So, you stand in the lobby, by the elevator, and wait for her to come down for lunch. Jerry: You mean "stakeout" the lobby?
I apologize for being terrible with episode titles, but Jerry makes a date with a ditsy actress in an elevator (that his penis and brain must later fight about). George makes a comment about having only a few seconds to do it and how impressive it is.
Episode 23 The Parking Garage They are all lost in the Parking Garage looking for their car.
ELAINE I'm sure it's right around here. KRAMER It looks familiar. I remember the elevator. GEORGE There's elevators all over! It all looks the same.
Episode 92 The Gymnast LINDSAY: Mother, I'm going to walk Nana and Aunt Phyllis to the elevator. George, do you mind waiting just one more minute? This sets up the next scene where George offers to help with the dishes and then:
[Kitchen] (George opens trash bin, sees an �clair at the top with one bite taken out of it. After looking around to make sure no one is watching, he picks up the �clair and takes a bite just as Mrs. Enright enters the kitchen.) MRS. ENRIGHT: (wide-eyed) Oh... GEORGE: (spits out mouthful of food): Mrs. Enright! Mrs. Enright!
So the elevator remark is pivotal, because without his girlfriend present, George is free to eat an �clair from the trash bin.
Episode 104 The Doorman There are quite a few elevator references, because a some of the episode takes place in the lobby of Mr. Pitt's building and Jerry plays doorman for a few minutes as people enter/exit the elevator. Also the couch gets stolen from the lobby and Jerry uses the peed on couch to replace it, as it has been at George's apt (who wants his father Frank "you had me lying in urine!!" to move back in with his mother Estelle)
So the fact that Jerry left his doorman post and went in the elevator to see Elaine at Mr. Pitt's apt also led to some of the events.
