Was the tractor incident ever explained ? Our local tv station interrupted with an air crash bulletin right at the end. Boy was I pissed!

Here is the real question....did her boyfriend mean that because she looked so fine on the tractor in her bathing suit that some disease-ridden farmer had his way with her and she ended up with gonorrhea (sp)? That is the only logical explanation I can come up with...

What was it that Jerry "saw" on her legs that made him think he had figured out the tractor incident? I never figured that out.

I think it was a cut, like she had been run over by one.

So I made a mistake..big deal. The Jerk store called.. I think YOU should know the rest.

The tractor incident was revealed in the last moments of the show. Kramer entered Jerry's apartment talking about gonorrhea and then Jerry's flavor of the week, Sophie, said something to the effect of "I know how you feel. I got gonorrhea from riding a tractor. My boyfriend said it was from riding it while wearing my bathing suit." You can imagine how Jerry reacted! He decided to leave the apartment on a "high note" as George had previously discovered was the best way to go out! I don't think you'll be seeing Sophie again!

the story goes that she got gonnoreah from a tractor- of course jerry immidiatley makes that face indicating that she totally discusts him and the relationship is over

About the tractor incident...

I agree with what an earlier poster said in this thread: the puchline to the tractor episode was weak, listless. It also wasn't funny. This is a prime example of forced-end-synergy; yes, it's nice when all separate plots converge in one comedic nexus at the epilogue (a SEINFELD trademeark), but don't do it for the sake of doing so if the ends don't justify the means. Here's how I would have ended the tractor plot (and I honestly thought they were going to do this too): it turns out tractor girl actually has a Y chromosome in her chromosomal portfolio...this erstwhile male had his genitalia mutilated by a wayward piece of farm equipment and it was decided that the best course of action was to become a transsexual...not that there's anything wrong with that...

Yeah, that sounds MUCH more entertaining. Save it for ER at 10.
