people say that the strongbox was an error cause the guy with the parrot was living in Newmans apartment, but didn't Newman get kicked out of the apartment complex in the reverse peephole???? correct me if im wrong its been awhile since i saw that one. also if the guy told jerry he had been living in that apartment for years (he may have) than id also be wrong but it would have made sense for that guy to live there after newman got kicked out. I assumed Newman had been living else where for the remaining eposides that followed the reverse peephole. keith

Fans discuss whether Newman was kicked out of his apartment in The Reverse Peephole or if he moved elsewhere, and debate the continuity of which apartment the parrot guy occupied.

actually i though newman lived at the other end of the hall or on another floor so it is highly possible that the parrot guy lived in the apartment next to kramer's for ages.

The apartment number for the parrot guy (Phil?) was 5E, and so was Newman's. But 5E was also used for many other characters...

A. Newman never got kicked out. Kramer talked the landlord out of it on the condition that he keep an eye on Newman to keep him out of trouble.
B. Phil lived next door to Kramer for years. He said so. That's why it was so funny that Jerry had no idea who he was.
