Seinfeld is really Larry Davids baby and not Jerry Sienfelds.

Larry David seems to be the real brains behind it Much Akin to Lennons Beatles. Where as Jerry is the Paul Mc Cartney.

I feel that possibly you may be right. Larry David may be the brains behind the show, but Jerry is the driving force behind the comedy. Everyone feels that Jerry is a really bad actor and the rest of the cast is masterful in their performance. However, I do feel in fact that Jerry is wonderful in his performance. He purposely crafts his character into a bummbling fool who seems like a terrible actor. I feel that this is one of the reasons, (Besides the unbelievable writing) that the show works.

     Actually, there's something to be said for Jerry being the prime creative
genius, or at very least an equal partner in the creation. Consider this...when
Larry David went out on his own to create a film called "Sour Grapes" after
leaving the show, it bombed. But Jerry went on to create two more seasons of TV
with classic moments just like the seasons that had gone before (such as "The
Betrayal"). I'd argue that the finale might have been better had Jerry written
it...since David had been away from the flow of the show for two years before
coming back for that one last shot.
     Actually, the most accurate way to look at it is to say they were BOTH
essential to the initial brilliance of the show but Jerry was able to sustain
it rather well on his own.
