Right. Well, I don't know if any of you are annoyed by all of my public opinion questions yet, but inquiring minds want to know. Well, the title asks it all so:
IS A SOUP A MEAL?
I can just see Campbell's responding to this one telling us that their soup is a meal. But I digress. Have fun answering!

Well, you know, it just really depends on the soup. Most Sundays, I make a pot of bean soup (usually starting with one of the 'Lysander's' soup mixes--includes beans and idiot-proof seasonings). I add extra ingredients--lentils, little pasta bits, split peas, chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, maybe diced carrots or potatoes, and always a chopped onion. After that has simmered for a couple of hours, you bet it is a meal, especially with some fresh bread or cornbread. The leftovers make another meal during the week. But a bowl of a run-of-the-mill restaurant 'soup'? Probably not, no matter _how_ many crackers you crumble in it. Now, picture Seinfeld, et al., attempting to make a pot of home-made soup . . . If too many cooks spoil the broth, what would _those_ cooks do to soup?
