**** THE PROBLEM WITH SEINFELD ****

Don't get me wrong!!!

I love the show- it's the BEST comedy on television.

But... When the show is an hour long, it drags. I've noticed this every time that there's an hour long show, there's still the same number of laughs as a half hour show. In other words, I think they drag out the story lines and the same number of jokes to fill the hour. The half hour is much more compact and tighter storywise and the result is a laugh a minute (literally). With the hour show, you laugh less often and not as hard if the jokes were right after one another in a half-hour. Comments? Discuss among yourselves...

think about it.

"Morty's Impeachment" was an hour long, but I don't remember it dragging. Maybe Marisa Tomei's guest appearance rounded it out. I don't remember Elaine having much to do except drool when she found out how much money Jerry made. What was Kramer's subplot?

I forgot to mention, that was the episode where Kramer was trying to avoid the guy who worked for the phone company.

Elaine was also involved in the George/Marisa Tomei subplot. George and Elaine were covering up his meetings with Marisa by pretending to meet so that George could advise Elaine's friend - Mr. Art Vandelay regarding his career as importer/exporter. Susan assumed that George and Elaine were having an affair when she got differing answers from George and Elaine about what items Art Vandelay imports and exports.
