If Seinfeld had decided to do one more season, I think Larry David would have returned since his movie, Sour Grapes, was such a bomb - both at the box office and with the critics (some called it one of the worst films of the year), that I doubt another studio will want to take a chance on him again. His Hollywood is now probably in limbo, so he would've had nowhere to go but back to Seinfeld.

Yeah, not to mention the box-office and critical bomb "As Good As It Gets." I'm sure no studio will want to replicate those numbers. (!!)
James L. Brooks was the writer/director of the above wonderful movie. Brooks also is a television sitcom veteran, but most of his work, like Terms of Endearment and Broadcast News, is not so hard-edged as Larry David's, and Brooks always managed to walk a fine line between comedy and pathos. alt showbiz gossip
