I live in Chicago. It is very common for people to go out with $500.00.
Especially us early 20's who are just beginning to rake in the dough. You don't have to live in New York to spend lots of money.
I'll never understand who someone could complain about a show's lack of reality when that same person doesn't know what reality is. (Not personal)

Is this a flame? WOW! I believe the ORIGINAL idea was that Jerry commonly throws around ALOT of money. For example, the money to his parents, paying $300 for a watch, paying for his neighbor's carwreck, etc....
If people feel the need to flame someone about such a trivial matter, I suggest chilling out and re-examining your sorry life! GEEZ....

Since you all are talking about money here, can someone recreate the apartment rental scenario from last season where Elaine wants to move into Jerrys building? Wasn't a big (several months worth of Manhattan rent for security deposit) going to be loaned to Elaine? All of this money stuff notwithstanding, isn't Jerry's character supposed to be a nationally known comic earning the 'big bucks'?

Just something I noticed this week, along the lines of money. His green mountain bike is a Klein. This baby runs about $2500.
Don't forget that Jerry drives a BMW (a 5-series) (from the clips I've seen- When George screws something when he an Elaine go to a flea market- A few weeks ago when J and E were going to see the bubble-boy and G ditches them.)
I've noticed the bike myself (drool... slobber...) - Jerry never rides the thing! If you watch the show 'Martin' on FOX, you'll also notice that Martin has a black (I think) Klein hanging in his bedroom (I've only seen it on one episode).
If Klein is giving all these bikes away, they could at least give a few to people who might actually *ride* them.
