Elaine and !!!

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but did anyone notice that Elaine crticized her old boss for using an excalamation point in the sign "Top of the Muffin, to You!"

Wasn't he the one that said that he hated exclamation points when she inserted them in the book she was editing for her boyfriend. The boyfriend was the one that didn't use the exclamation point when he took the phone message saying that Elaine's friend had a baby.

Who said that new episodes don't tie into earlier episodes anymore? This one crossed seasons.
